The captive energy advantage

Removing the single greatest bottleneck in African heavy industry.

Grid instability has stalled steelmaking across the continent. Our smelter will be served by a dedicated captive independent power plant (IPP) — a gas/coal hybrid designed for the continuous, high-load demand of smelting.

We leverage the Acquico group's distributed power capability, including sister company Elektron Energy, operators of the 30 MW VIPower facility, to design, build and operate that plant.
